Archie computes every number from the standard, never the model.

Standards

Authority comes from the standard, not the model.

Archie does not paraphrase standards from training data. It reads from a versioned library where every constant is verified against its source clause, and every computed value can show where it came from.

  • AS 4254.2:2012
  • DW/144
  • Project specification
  • Contract precedence

Versioned, verified, and honest about scope.

Every constant carries its source clause and a verification flag. Nothing is hardcoded in the calculation path, and criteria are versioned so any schedule can be reproduced exactly as it was issued.

  • The live module speaks AS 4254.2:2012 for ductwork leakage and DW/144 as the competing basis.
  • Project specifications and contract clauses join the library per job, because the contract often decides what governs.
  • Each new discipline module ships with its standard verified clause by clause before it computes anything.

The first live discipline: ductwork leakage to AS 4254.2 and DW/144.

When standards disagree, the most onerous governs.

Real projects sit under multiple regimes at once: an Australian standard, an international reference, a project specification and a contract precedence clause. Archie treats that as a first-class problem.

Both candidates computed

The allowable is computed under each applicable basis, side by side, rather than silently picking one.

Governing basis shown

Every row states which basis governs and why, backed by the contract precedence position, so review is a check rather than an argument.

Service class respected

Life-safety and containment systems are held to their stricter regime and test conditions, separately from general service systems.

The guarantee

Every value can show its working.

A number, its clause, its inputs and its worked example, on every deliverable, every time. When a value is challenged at handover, it answers for itself.
